Career highlights

• 1990: Formula Vauxhall Lotus champion

• 1991: Won the British Formula 3 Championship

• 1994: Became youngest driver to secure a pole position at the time (Spa-Francorchamps) Finished sixth in the Championship
• 1998:Won Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 1999: Three podium finishes (San Marino, French and European Grand Prix) and a pole position (French Grand Prix)

• 2000: Signed with Ferrari and achieved his first Grand Prix victory (Hockenheim).  Finished most races on the podium, puttinghim fourth in the Championship standings. Won Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 2001:Finished third in the championship with 56 points, achieving a total of 10 podium finishes. Won Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 2002: Won four races, finished a career best second place in the drivers’ championship, scoring 77 championship pointsWon Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 2003: Ended the year fourth in the Championship with 65 points, including two wins (Silverstone and Suzuka)

• 2004: Won both the Italian and Chinese Grands Prix, totaled 14 podiums to finish second in Championship with 114 points Won Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 2005: Won Granja Viana 500 kart race in São Paulo, Brazil

• 2006: Moved to Honda Formula One team

• 2007: At Turkish Grand Prix, became the most experienced driver in F1 history with 257 starts (previously help by Ricardo Patrese for 14 years)

• 2009: Joins Brawn GP.Finished third in the Championship standings with 77 points.

• 2010 – 2011: Joins AT&T Williams
